My grandma passed away this morning at about 5:30am. She went to sleep yesterday and never woke up. It has been really difficult. I can't imagine not having her here, not being able to pick up the phone and talk to her, her not being able to meet our children.
I am so glad I was able to go see her this past weekend. I also spoke to her very briefly on the phone on Monday. Apparently it was the last real conversation she had with anyone. The last thing she said (besides I love you) was that she was glad the babies were doing well.
Please keep my family in your thoughts during this difficult time. Services will be early next week and I hope that I will be able to attend.

I am so sorry! I lost my grandma unexpectedly on 8/18/06, and the pain has not lessened during these past three years. I try to remind myself that I was lucky to have had someone like her in my life, but I still grieve for her absence in my life. I'm glad you were able to speak with her briefly earlier this week.
