Checking in

A few people have thought since I haven't posted I must have gone into labor, I figured I would give an update:)

Babies are still where they need to be, though we are still thinking it might not be too much longer. We had a growth scan on Wednesday and the boy is wedged so far into my pelvis the peri thinks my water will break soon. If that happens they will take me off the nifedipine and let nature take its course. I have been feeling a lot of pressure on my cervix and my back is killing me, apparently I have the boy to thank for that!

Good news is that both babies look good. Fluid level was great, they were both moving a lot and have both gained weight. Girl is 3 lbs 14 oz and boy is estimated at 3 lbs 6 oz, but since he is so far down they couldn't really get good measurements.

We are going to take a short road trip tomorrow to see my grandma. She was moved to hospice yesterday and they are thinking she only has days left, instead of the weeks they were thinking. My OB is a bit hesitant to let me go, but we both agree that it is important for me to go and say goodbye. I would be devastated if I didn't get to see her again. One thing that I find comfort in right now is something Greg said the other day, that she is so special that the world has to replace her with two people (our twins) instead of just one:)
