I made it to our first goal -30 weeks. w00t!
This past week in the hospital has been really difficult, I'm not gonna lie. But, knowing the chances these two have now because of making it to 30 weeks is worth it. Though, I'm not sure if I will say that 2 weeks from now:) j/k
One positive thing about strict bed rest is that I am no longer in as much pain. My hips/joints were really bothering me the past month and I could barely sleep. Now, since I don't physically do anything, all the pains have dissipated. But one thing that is starting to hurt a bit is baby movement. They are getting so big now (yay!) that when they move it hurts on the inside. I can now understand when you hear stories of babies breaking their mom's ribs b/c these two are strong!
I even think that some of the contractions are brought on by the babies moving. I can feel the girl push really hard and then my ute contracts, which I guess are more Braxton Hicks contractions than the real ones. The scary painful ones. Thankfully those haven't come back.
Anyway, I think the highlight of my day today is going to be a visit from our dogs. We have devised a plan where Greg brings the dogs in the car and I get wheeled out to the front of the hospital so I can see them for a little bit. It won't be enough to fill the void I am feeling w/o having them, but it will be enough to tide me over for a bit. We are also trying to set up an actual visit for Duncan, but Fiona can't come. They require vaccination records and since Fiona is allergic to most vaccines she hasn't gotten them, and won't be let in:( But at least I can see them for a little bit outside.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats on your 30 week goal!!!
Congrats on 30 weeks! :) :) :) I hope you got some well-deserved snuggle time with your dogs today!! I know it really suck that you're in the hospital, but just think, it a few more weeks it will all be over with and you will have two precious babies in your arms!
Way to hit 30 weeks! My perinatologist said 32 weeks is his *magic* number- where babies fare no worse than babies born to term... so I'm crossing my fingers for 2 more weeks for you, at least! I am glad you aren't in as much pain... I hope you are sleeping ok at the hospital though. Yay for seeing your dogs, too!
30 weeks, woohoo!! Congrats!! I am sure it must be hard for you, but you are doing great. A visit from the dogs sounds just what you need. I know I would be missing my fur babies!! Keep up the good work!
A huge CONGRATS on making it to the all important 30 weeks!! I'm hoping you can keep going for at least 2 more weeks - anything past that is icing on the cake. Enjoy your visit with your furbabies!
(((hugs)))
