More IV Fluids and some pics

After 4 days of keeping nothing down, we went for round #2 of IV fluids yesterday. This time the fluids didn’t make me feel better so they also gave me a shot of Zofran and a prescription for Regaln (another anti-nauesa med). This will be the 3rd type of medication, and hopefully it will work.

Since we were there anyway, Greg convinced the nurse to do an ultrasound (hopefully our insurance does not have a cap on them!). The babies were quite cute, Baby B (which I think they called Baby A in the photos from last time..?) was really active, moving around and practically doing somersaults. We got some good shots of her/him. Baby A (or Baby B…? I am not sure why the keep changing that) was sleeping and was not interested in getting his/her photo taken. They did a heartbeat check and they both looked great (150s and 160s).

Here are some pics:

I'm so sorry you haven't gotten the nausea under control - hopefully this new medication will do the trick.

It's not uncommon for Baby A & B to change positions, it depends on their location in your uterus. Baby A will always be the baby closest to your cervix. Mine have stayed in place but I have a friend who couldn't keep track until they got too big to move around as much.

I hope the medications work. It really is hard to feel sick all the time. I wish you luck!

Glad to see babies are doing well! Careful with the reglan, it can have a pretty nasty depression side effect. Ask me how I know :)

You might be careful with Reglan. It's currently black-boxed and being investigated for causing neurological damange and facial tics. It works well for nausea but can cause irreversible damage and is very, very dangerous. Please do some investigation into this drug before you begin taking it for very long. It's only a concern.
