Another round of IV fluids

I bet you guys are so sick of hearing about my trips for IV fluids:) Don't worry, I think this time was the last time.

After round #2 last week I was feeling pretty good, but the Reglan was really not cutting it and by Monday I was vomiting, again. This time it was really bad and by Tuesday I had lost another 2 lbs (total -24 lbs). I tried our REs office but they were busy and I had to leave a message. There was no waiting, I needed to be seen. I called my OB who I had yet to meet.

Within an hour I was sitting on their examining table being told how sick I looked and that their #1 priority was to get me feeling better. They checked on the babies (yay for hearing their heartbeats for the first time!) and then promptly sent me for more fluids, this time 2 bags and IV Zofran. I now have a script for the generic version of Zofran (which is much cheaper and works just as well) and they said that they are giving me the 'chemo' strength dose. It seems to be working so far. Yay! I even gained back 2 lbs and can eat little bits at a time.

On a funny side note, I mentioned before that our OB also delivered Greg. Well the first thing he did when we met with him (after the nurse had examined me) was to show us a picture of him, MIL, and newborn Greg that he had on his computer. It was cute:) The dr was so proud of it and looked very happy to be seeing us. We have our first official appointment with him on Monday, hopefully I will still be feeling better and we can actually sit down and talk and get info:)

I am so glad you are feeling better and hope that it is nothing but better from here on out.

Even happier to hear that the babies are doing so well!!!

It is amazing - the nausea and vomiting are like separate beings and have no regard for anything...it can be really frustrating but we will make it!!!
