Maternity Fraud

I feel like a fraud today. I am wearing a belly band. The bloat is so bad my pants won't zip, and I haven't even started stims yet....TMI warning...but god lord I don't think I could get any more constipated. I am taking like 5 fiber pills a day, and nada.

Anywho, with this band on my tummy I have been feeling very much like a little girl sticking pillows in her shirt. Did you ever do that? I certianly did! Espeically when DH and I first started trying. I would call him in the room, with pillow in place, and ask if he was excited to see me that way. Then we would get all snuggling and talk about how we hoped it would happen soon. Ugh, that makes me sad just thinking about it.....

I just keep hoping none of my colleagues who have recently had babies see this thing hanging out from under my shirt and start wondering about it. I'm not in the mood:)

sorry you are so bloated. I feel you. If someone looks at me wrong I can't poop for a week.

Sorry that you're having a hard time with the Lupron. When do you start the stims?

I used to (a couple months ago) stick out my belly really far and act like it was a baby bump so don't feel bad at all. We all do it and there's no shame.

Hope the bloat gets better and you're not outed with your band:)

Ugh...The bloat sounds bad. I am starting the down regulation meds on Monday. I am going to get loose clothing out of the back of the wardrobe as I have the feeling that I will also experience bloating. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!

LOL. Well, you have a good excuse for wearing it, not that you'd want to explain it to your coworkers, though. I hope you're wearing one for the real reason very soon!!

I've always been a little envious of the bella band. What an excellent contraption.

Better to bella, than just leave your pants unbuttoned :)

OMG... I love that belly band. I didn't know such a thing existed. I could have sooo used it for IVF#1... ended up buying a couple of fat pants!!
Hope the constipation eases. I naturally tend to have constipation but what I found out was that the more fiber I added to my diet, the worser it got! And later I was told that drinking water is the key!! It did help but not by much. :(

I have no assvice on the bloating, but thank goodness for the band! Hang in there, hopefully you'll have even more reason to wear it!! :)

I have been wanting to buy a band for the longest time because I get crazy bloated after the trigger shot for a few days. I always felt stupid so I haven't gotten one. I think now that I know i'm not the only non-pregnant lady to buy one I'm gonna get it.

I have poo issues too. I use benefiber everyday, like 3 times a day, and eat fruit everyday, pretty much anything that will help i've tried.

I hope it starts "flowing" soon, lol

Sorry the bloat is so awful. :( Have you tried senekot or colace for the constipation? I found that those two things helped me a lot when I have been really constipated. I've always had issues with my stomach, so I have relied on those for a looong time.

You're not a fraud, you just need to be comfy! Plus, you aren't the only one: I wore maternity jeans throughout my IVF as well!
