To IUI or not to IUI

that is our question. We are trying to decide whether to do IUI#5 with our current RE next week. It would probably be on the same day or the day after our consult with the new RE.

Here are the options:
  1. Do IUI#5 with old RE (about $300)
  2. No IUI this month, just do TI
  3. No IUI or TI this month and take a break
  4. If O holds out until after our consult next Friday, see if new RE will do it (no clue at cost or if they will do it)
I am kind of leaning toward #2 or #3, while DH wants to do #1. If we do #3 I am going to do a 2 week detox I picked up at Whole Foods since I've been feeling crappy since the holidays. And, I think my girly-bits might enjoy not being prodded with a speculum and catheter this month...

Well, I say go for it and do the IUI because you just never know if this culd be it. But, if you're totally not into it, then I understand that too. Good luck making your decision & I hope you like the new RE!

Geesh - so many choices - I try not to have any regrets so if that helps, just make sure that whatever you do leaves no regret.

i agree with Lisa. If you need a break from IUI though, i'd take the break. there's only so much you can take :-)

It's so unfair that we have to make these decisions. Good Luck!!!

Well, it looks like I'm going against the norm here. I say give yourself a break.

Clearly, your current RE has not been successful so do you really want to go through the frustration, anger and cost of another cycle with him/her?

I say take a break and start fresh your new RE.
