Here are some interesting things I've learned:
- Do not disturb anything under your bed while TTC. It has to do with the Qi (pronounced chi-basically the energy) flow. Our bed has HUGE fluff balls under it and a few socks. I think it would be okay to take the socks out, but I don't want to chance it:)
- Everything in your bedroom should have a mate. So both nightstands, lamps, etc. should match. And if you have pictures make sure they represent love and/or partnership. So no lonely flower pics:) I put up only pics of the two of us, one from our wedding and one from our honeymoon.
- Use fertility symbols in your house, like an elephant, sea turtle, or bird. We have a pair of candle sticks in our bedroom with birds on them and I got a really nice statue of Kwan Yin, the Chinese fertility goddess and protector of children.
- There should be nothing blocking the front door to your house. It has to do with the flow of Qi into your home and how open you are to having new things enter. We did some tree trimming this summer, so I think we are all set!

wow, very interesting. i giggled at the thought of stuff under the bed.
I read an article about two years ago discussing carnelian stones and how they help with fertility. I bought three... one for me, and two for other friends. One put hers between her matresses - and she was pregnant about two months later. The other kept hers next to her bed, and was pregnant in a couple of months. Mine... well, it didn't work for me so I gave it to another friend. She's now pregnant. Of course, none of them had fertility issues (that I am aware of), but it is still something to add to the "pot" possibly.
Good luck!
I think I am going to do some re-arranging in my bedroom :)
Thanks for the tips.
WOW very cool, Wish I would have read this while TTC, I would have totally done it.
i have a friend from taiwan who is really into feng shui and B is always asking me to ask her what she would recommend for our bedroom. i think i will ask her if she has any additional recommendations. i will let you know :)
First of all... Thanks a lot for your well wishes... they mean a lot to me.
I am just like you.... I pull out my Feng Shui book when I am rearranging stuff. The one thing that I have added to the children and creativity section of my bedroom (which is right above the headboard for us) is colorful, circular pieces of art.
