Day 5

They were able to stop the contractions again. The double dose seems to be working. Fingers crossed.

My OB came by again this morning and joked that even talking about going home must have been the kiss of death yesterday and that we won't talk about it for awhile. So, I am staying put. I am trying not to think about it as 'long-term' but just that today Greg is at work and then will hang out with me for 4 days. After that, we will see:)

The highlight of my day today seems like it will be having a shower. Yippee! I've had a bucket bath (which brought back many memories of Nicaragua, but this time I had HOT water!) and I have been longing for a good cleaning. I am also getting a physical therapy (PT) consult. I have been asking if I can get up and walk around the halls a bit since my legs are starting to swell....but the answer was in the form of laughing at me for my naivety. No walking for me, I guess I am going to learn those fun bed exercises you see old people doing on PBS. Maybe I'll even get one of those big rubber band things? :)

I have been stocked up on trash magazines and holiday cookies. I asked Greg to bring me some sewing stuff....instead I got half a sewing kit and some jewelry supplies. Not sure what I am going to make with that, but it should keep me fairly entertained for today.

For those who know me IRL, I think now that things are more stable I will be for some visitors soon. I've been feeling guilty about keeping people away, but with so many drs and nurses in and out, effects of meds, and so little rest, I just hadn't been up to seeing anyone besides Greg.

Okay, that's probably enough rambling for now! I am sure I will get bored again later today and post more:)

I'm so happy they stopped the contractions! Despite being in the hospital, I hope you can have a Merry Christmas dreaming of the beautiful, healthy babies that will be in your arms in a few weeks. Stay put, babies!! ((HUGS))

I'm sorry I haven't gotten to comment until now, but I am so sorry for this scary time! I am thankful they have the contractions under control and am praying those babies stay in you awhile longer!

if you don't already knit, the Stitch n bit.ch book is a great book to learn from, and knitting will be an easy thing to do in bed.

thinking of you and your beans,

merry christmas!

I'm glad they stopped the contractions.

I read a lot in the hospital. And I remember the day I got to have a shwoer after being in Trendellenberg for a week.... It was so wonderful to just have that water streaming down. Enjoy!
