Yesterday Greg and I had lunch with a fellow IFer and her hubby. We met at the Olive Garden and had a great lunch and talked for hours:) It was really nice to talk to people in person who understand what we are going through.
But, I think by having two IF couples in one place the universe doubled-up our belly allowance. Srsly, in 3 hours we saw at least 10 pg bellies walk past us. In one restaurant! Does Olive Garden give some kind of discount to expecting women? Or maybe it was so kind of convention? All I know is that it was so ridiculous that it was funny.
Also, to add to my day yesterday, my SIL had her baby. It is a girl. The family started calling on Saturday night w/the play-by-play. Greg finally had to tell his dad that he needed to stop calling at each cervix check and to just call when the baby is born. I now have 6 nieces and 2 nephews. And most of them are under 7 yrs old. Damn, we certainly come from very fertile families. :(
I don't think that I will be able to visit them at the hospital (maternity ward? no thanks), but I think we may go and see them tomorrow when they get home. I know it is really gonna be difficult, and I will probably cry (just hopefully not until I get home).
Oh, and small IVF update -started Lupron yesterday.

Isn't it so nice to have some IRL infertile friends? Mine have been a lifesaver. Hooray for the Lupron...and good luck at the hospital with the newborns...
I'm glad that you enjoyed spending time with your IF friend. I hope that the Lupron goes well. I can understand you avoiding the newborn ward in hospital - I would too!
xx
yay for lupron - are we sick or what - cheering for loopy lupron...I live quite a distance away from my nieces and nephews - it is easier for me in a way but the first few times after my first miscarriage I was inconsolable after being around them. ((HUGS))
I think it must be the all you can eat breadsticks at O.G. that have the bellies flocking in. Maybe avoid anything that offers "all you can eat" just to be safe. Good luck with the lupron! Here you go!!! wheeeeee
It's the endless salad and breadsticks that draws them in!
