Needles!

I had 11 of them sticking out of me yesterday, and one was even right between my eyes! One in my belly button, and then ones up and down my legs and on the tops of my feet. It didn't really hurt, but the ones in my feet and face kind of pinched. I wasn't prepared to have to sit there with them poking out for a half an hour, but I did it.

I was diagnosed with Spleen-Qi deficiency and was told to not eat raw foods or drink cold beverages b/c they will extinguish my abdominal fire. And this is probably TMI, but...I mentioned my constipation from the Lupron and whatever she did, she cured it. I have never been so gassy in my life, and now I am all cleared out. All-in-all it was fairly relaxing, and I have an appointment for next week. I plan to go weekly until the end of this IVF, hopefully it helps.

With those needles the count for IVF#2 is up to 22. Once stims start it will be at least 3 a day...I think overall we will reach triplets digits this time around. Needle phobia? No more.

HA! That's great. It will be even better next time now that you know what to expect.

I'll have to remember that tip when I start Lupron next week! I started acupuncture last Friday, and went back yesterday. I have a Liver Qi deficiency- 17 needles both times. Fun times.

I used to be needlephobic, too, but after 3 ovulation inductions, 3 IVFs and 12 acupuncture sessions, I think I could be stuck with a rug needle and not be phased. Good luck - happy fertility thoughts are coming your way!
