We have two beautiful grade A embryos that are hopefully snuggling into their new home. We also have two beautiful grade A embryos that are currently being cryogenically frozen! We have two totsiciles! The other two did not make it:( Knowing that we have a few frozen has made so much of the worry wash away. For the past few weeks I've really been worrying about 'next steps' if this doesn't work, and now we have one. We will do an FET (frozen embryo transfer) with our totsiciles.
I took off the rest of the week and have been a lazy lump on the couch. The dogs think this means I am their new jungle gym:) They love having daytime company.
The actual ET was one of the most humiliating experiences of my life...I was expecting it to be magical, etc....but instead it ended with me peeing on the floor! I am turning red just writing this, but hey, maybe I am not alone here and someone will feel less embarrassed if it happens to them:)
Per the instructions, I showed up with a full bladder (I had about 35 ounces of water/gatorade), but apparently it was not full enough. So they bring another 20 ounces...not full enough....another 20.....a can of mountain dew! (apparently caffiene helps?) all the while I am completely nude from the waist down,my butt up on this weird wedge pillow, in a tiny room with 5 other people and a nurse pushing the ultrasound wand on my very full bladder. They put the speculum in, not ready, take it out, in again, ugh! The speculum is bad enough normally, but with a bladder that full!!!! They eventually decide that everything looks good, they do the transfer (which looked so cool!) and then I had to sit there for 45 mins. There was no way that was going to happen w/o me peeing. They brought a bed pan! Poor DH:( He had to help, and I was not allowed to sit up...it went everywhere! I was so embarrassed:( He had to find some papertowel to clean the floor, all the while I could not stop laughing! It was an eventful experience to say the least.

yay, andrea! congrats on 2 grade a's and on two frozen embryos! what great results!!
oh, you are *so* not alone! my bladder was way too full for my et, so i had to relieve myself twice. the first was in a bedpan, and i ended up going all over myself, and the second time the doctor had to stop, she had to catheterize me so she could control how much was released. i get embarrassed just thinking about it!
Great news! Sorry to hear about the pee, though =/ But hopefully it will all be worth it. My fingers are crossed!
Fabulous news!
And I LOVE the fact that you can laugh about the pee incident...that will be a story to tell them children in the future...!!!
ROFL at this post - how wonderful that you have hopefully buns in the oven..but the pee thing cracked me up..sorry to laugh, hope i'm lauging with you though since it is my first visit here ;)

Great news about the two little ones!
i'm sure the nurses are used to it. I had two friends that pooped during their deliveries. I puked all over myself when i had my daughter. The fun never ends!! Best of luck!!!
Excellent news about the little ones nestling in and the two frozen!!
I think the peeing on the floor story makes it almost, even more special....and funny :)
Congrats on two great embies!!!!! I am hoping your 2ww goes well and you end up with a bfp.
Did you read my transfer story? I broke the first bedpan they brought and it sounded like a gun going off...
That is wonderful news, congrats!! And I loved you pee story, although I'm sure it wasn't as fun to experience as it was to read :)
