Follie update

I had my first monitoring appointment this morning. I have 7 follies altogether between 7-11mm. The nurse said she thinks I will stim for a total of around 14 days, and only being on day 4 I am a little worried about that. My ovaries are already feeling mighty heavy and achy, not sure they won't explode by then:) Oh, and it took the nurse 30 mins to find my left ovary with the vag-cam. So. not. fun.

But, I am so happy the meds are working. I know there is a lot more work for my ovaries to do before there is anything large enough to retrieve (for those non-IF girls out there, the follicles need to get to about 18mm to be mature), but damn, 7 in 3 days? That sounds pretty good to me:)

So, another 2 nights of 225 of Follistim and back for a check on Saturday morning. DH is excited to be able to come along...if only HE could be the one getting prodded.....

It takes them forever to find my left ovary too. They usually give up and get someone else to try.Not looking forward to it in a week or so.Ugh!

Seven in three day is very good :)

I can't imagine stimming for that long. Are they hoping to get more follicles or just to have these ones get bigger?

Seriously....I hate when the left ovary hides....and then they turn the wand horizontal. It's just wrong.

Wow, 14 days is long! Maybe you'll get to be done with stims a little sonner. Here's hoping! Good luck!

Woohoo for 7 follies on 3 days! What a great response to the meds!! I think you're going to have plenty of eggies to choose from when it's retrieval time. I know the achy, bloated feeling sucks, but it'll be worth it!

woot! Hope it's easier on you next time. 30 min with a vag cam?!? I hope your place dims the lights and keeps the room warm at least...and maybe buys you dinner first ;)

Sounds like things are going well! Good news (although it sounds a litle uncomfortable)

i'm glad to hear that things are going well! I think seven sounds awesome! I hope they keep growing and growing so you get lots of mature eggies for your ER. :) Always sending lots of positive thoughts your way!
