IVF here we come!

I got good news and bad news from the RE today. The bad news is that while DH's count and motility look pretty good, morphology is still shite. We could do more testing, and maybe injectiable IUI cycles, but really, as this cost we are going to move on. So, that leads into the good news.

We can start IVF in 3 weeks! I have to go for a mock ET, and we need an injections lesson and a financial consult, but as long as we get that in before I ovulate next month we are set. I don't think it has set in yet...it is so not real. When does it become real? With the first shot?

The blood draw went really well today, I think it was a combination of the Valium, them wrapping my arm in a warm cloth before hand, and all of the water I drank. The nurse got it on the first try, but after 3 vials it really slowed down, so it took kind of awhile.

I think this is the very first time I am anixiously awaiting AF:)

Aw, I am so happy for you!

You never really have time for it all to sink in because you're always focused on the next step and obviously, the big day - the transfer!

Just take one day at a time. You'll have some good days and some bad days but the end result is worth it!

I'm so excited for you & that you can start so soon! I don't know when it all sinks in, but I'm sure it will when you get that BFP!!! Yay!!!!

We faced a similar decision. We could have done IUI, but with hubby's sperm I just wanted to go with what would give us the best shot at getting preggo.

Good luck!!! I'm so excited for you.

this is such great news! i think that it seems real when you first see the ultrasound that looks like a ton of grapes...and you think, "they are going to stick a needle in me to remove all of those! ..wait, they are going to stick a needle in me to remove ALL of those?!"

:)
