Every time I walk past one of my colleagues I wonder if they are pregnant. Thankfully they are all women:) I seriously work with close to 30 women who are in their childbearing years. At any point there is at least one pregnant belly and one person on maternity leave. It makes me paranoid. To make matters worse they all go around saying things like "You better not drink the water!" or "You look so rested, how lucky you are to not have kids yet."
I am constantly looking them up and down, thinking 'boy, that looks a bit like a maternity shirt' or 'her face is looking puffy, it must be pregnancy water weight'. I am going a bit crazy.
I also wonder how many of the women I work with might be having IF issues as well. I have my suspicions about one of them....I am quite open about about IF at work, I am sure everyone knows, so she must.

i do the same thing! most of the time when i think someone is pregnant they turn out to be!!!
i DO hate the "don't drink the water" comment!!!
That sucks - I work mostly with men - the women I do work with - OMFG - I am just realizing it - either are childless by choice (1), just had a baby (2), are pregnant (1), have problems like me (1) or have older children (the rest).
God that is depressing.
I work in a small office with only six other people. Two of them were unable to have children and decided to live child free. So thankfully we don't talk about babies that much.
But, ALL of my friends are either pregnant, nursing their first baby, or celebrating the birth of their second/third. It makes me feel like an abnormal person at times.
Not crazy I still do it and I am pregnant!
Yes, I am thankful I don't work with any women!! Although the guy's have wives who have/ could become pregnant, but at least I won't have to see them very often :)

I have reached a point of obsession where I am either checking out my friends' and co-workers' stomaches to somehow "guess" if they are pregnant or closely watching if they are having a glass of wine with dinner. I've had a few students ask if I am pregnant which I find to be very disturbing. Ummm, no. I just have a gut.
I came across your blog a few weeks ago. We don't live far from each other!
GAH! I hate the water comment. Seriously...I'll chug a gallon right now if it will help!
((HUGS))
I am lucky that way. My entire group of 44 has only 4 women. 2 don't want children, 1 just joined after college and is still single, and then there is me! But I can so picture myself doing that.
BTW, I am soo lost with the "don't drink the water" comment!
i *despise* the water comment. when i lived in CA i worked with 3 other girls. within 3 months 3 out of the 4 of us got pregnant. anywhere we went we hear the water comment. FOR NINE months! ugh!
