I am at home sick today. I have a terribly sore throat and think I have a fever. I hope it goes away soon, I hate being sick.
No IUI this month. It wasn't worth the money knowing that the egg was probably dead. Oh well, our appointment to talk IVF is on the 29th, and we will need all the money we can get if we do go that route.
It also looks like getting away over the holidays isn't going to happen. DH is the newest employee in his office so he has to be on call that week. Normally we wouldn't care (he is Jewish and all), but this year we really wanted to escape my family and the two newborns that will be celebrating their first Christmas. I guess we can lie and say we are leaving so that we don't have to go.
Yesterday a thought popped into my head that IL is a mandatory IF coverage state. With DH working in Kenosha (just one county north of the IL border) I should look to see what kind of job I can get in IL:) Though, it would just be my luck that you would have to live in IL, not just work there, and DH has to live in WI b/c of his job. Hmm...a lot to think about I guess.

I think the way the state mandate works is that it applies to companies who are based in IL and are over 50 employees and not self-insured. It doesn't matter where you live, it matters where your company is based. So you could live in TX but work for a IL based company and get the benefit of the mandate, or you could live in IL and work for a NY based company and not get the benefit of the mandate. Sooo....if you found a job in IL for an IL based company that was pretty big, there is a good chance you'd get the coverage, even living in WI.
Ditto pp on the insurance coverage. Wish I lived anywhere near a covered state.
I'm sorry to hear that you are sick and that the IUI is a bust, but I'm excited for your IVF appt!
