Happy Rosh Hashanah!

Since it is the new year I am going to reflect on all of the good things that have happened in our lives since last fall....we all know that IF puts a cloud of depression over everything going on, so here is my attempt at the silver lining:
  • DH and I took a really lovely vacation up to Quebec City for our anniversary last October. The weather was a bit cold, but just wandering through the French influenced city reminded me so much of our honeymoon in Paris.
  • We bought our first house in January. We are still in shock that we were able to find a house that was exactly what we wanted, in the area we wanted, and we could afford it w/o going over our budget at all. Sometimes we still say that we can't believe we live where we do and that we are very lucky to have found it.
  • I was able to participate in a two week study abroad program to Nicaragua and got to live with really great families and learn about Nica culture and life. Being there really put my life into perspective.
  • After nearly a year of unemployment, and a year at a shite job, DH finally has a job he really likes. He is much nicer now that he doesn't get yelled at everyday:)
  • After much soul-searching I decided to end the graduate program I was in, and believe it was a good thing. I feel like I have a lot less on my shoulders and have more time for me.
  • We started seeing an RE and began treatments. While nothing has worked at least we have kind of a plan and some answers.

I follow a couple of blogs, but have yet to leave a comment because I am always unsure of how the blogger will take my comments or my story.

Anyway, I read all of your postings today...probably because I could have wrote them. When I was 28 we found out we had MFI. My DH had the surgery and we waited to see if the SA results changed. They didn't. The SA results in fact were so bad we were not allowed to try IUI. Like you they could find nothing wrong with me. We skipped right to IVF/ICSI. We live in IL...so I know all about the insurance coverages and limitations if you consider taking a job in IL let me know and I can help you know what questions to ask about the insurance...not all plans or employers have to cover IF even in IL.

My story has a happy ending/beginning, but I'm not sure you want the details. Please let me know if you ever want to chat.
