Estradiol

The nurse called today with my blood work results from yesterday. I always know that everything wasn't fine if they are actually taking the time to call. Apparently my estradiol levels are a bit higher than they should be. She said to not be worried yet, that the doctor would look it over and get back to me.

I did some googling (damn you google!!!!) and found out that high estradiol levels lead to ovarian resistance, which is something the RE mentioned to me when we first met with her. I guess my short cycles made her think there might be a problem.

So, at this point I am getting myself all worked up thinking that my eggs are shit and DH's sperm are shit and we are screwed. Just screwed. No kids for us, we can't pass go, and have to go straight to kidless land. Old, childless, alone, pitied old bags. That is what we will be. Those people, "the ones without kids" (whisper, whisper).
