Day 3

Since AF held off so long I finally had my Day 3 tests this morning. The ultrasound went well, it was surprisingly quick and painless. It was cool to see the screen, but the tech wasn't really saying much so I had to try to decipher things myself.

After the u/s the nurse, who is super nice and helpful, came to tell me that everything looked good, the shape was normal and the lining was just where they see it on day 3 (.476 mm). She also told me that I had 10 follies on the right and 11 on the left, which is just what they like to see. She even said that I am nice and fertile! That is the first time anyone has ever said that. It made me feel good to know, I guess I beat myself up too much at IF and need to remember that we are so lucky that we are only dealing with MFI and that things could be much worse.

The blood work, on the other hand, was neither quick nor painless. I stopped by the lab before heading up the REs office and they were unable to find a vein. The woman poked, and stuck, and poked, and stuck and moved the needle around, but no luck. I had to go back a few hours later and they were finally able to find a vein. I now have huge bruises all over my arms and I look like a drug user.

We are still taking our meds and hopefully we are all set for the IUI in about a week!
