We took a road trip to the nearest Ikea this weekend to check out their cribs and changing tables. My dr is going to restrict my travel at 20 weeks and since it is nearly a 2 hr drive I decided we should go for it since I was feeling pretty good.
I think we found what we are going to buy. Much cheaper there and I think everything looks like the quality is high enough. We did our kitchen with Ikea products, so I guess we are loyal shoppers:) Greg will be sent down to buy everything sometime before the snow really starts to fly.
While we were there I was astonished by the number of pregnant bellies I saw. It makes sense, kid stuff is expensive so everyone is looking for a deal, but gosh was it overwhelming. Just 6 months ago I would have probably needed to run like hell out of that store. I am sure I would not have been able to hold back the tears. This time, while it still stung, I was able to do it. Actually felt a bit of camaraderie with them. I was so uncomfortable after a few hours of walking around and I am not nearly as big as a lot of the women I saw.
As a public service announcement (PSA), if you are still dealing with IF, don't go anywhere near an Ikea.

You are so right! I was there a few months ago and they were everywhere! Infertiles (like me), be forewarned!
