Do you ever get the look of 'hmm, I wonder if she is pregnant?' I just got it, and it is annoying.
I know I have put on a bit of weight b/c of IF, and I know it is around the middle, but damn do I hate that look. One of my former colleagues just stopped by, I haven't seen her in a year or so. She knows we have been married for a few years now, and that DH is finally done with law school. So I know what that look was all about. The quick glances at my belly, then the smile, and the 'how are you? Anything neeewwww (insert high pitched annoying voice)?'
I really wish there was something new to tell people and that this belly was in fact a baby. But nope, not baby, just fat, thank you very much.

Oh no! So sorry - people should know better than to make assumptions. I had this happen a month or so ago. Except she asked if I have "any news" ...I replied that I'm just fat (and she suggested I go to a gym). Nice. Really great for my self esteem. Thanks IVF and IF-related stress. (I can laugh about it but it still sucks).
oh geez, i totally know how you feel! I used to read the BOTB when I first came to the nest/bump and everyone would post their bumps at whatever many weeks,etc. It was so sad that my "bump" was bigger than most people's 20 week bumps. It's all around my middle. I could seriously pass for quite pregnant. I think it's just a cruel joke on us.
one of my colleagues told me that i looke "puffy". seriously. seriously? i get that crap all of the time, too.
