Once again....

I hate OPKs. I even pay $40/month for the digital ones, but somehow seem to screw them up. I have not gotten the smiley yet...but hopefully I will tomorrow. If not, we would not be able to get to the RE until Monday, sooooo, I am going to lie and still go in for the IUI on Friday:) One day early is better than 2 days late. At least the sperm MIGHT still be alive.

Since all of my attention has been on the election this week, which is clearly over with now (yippee!), I am finally starting to get excited about the National TTTC (trouble trying to conceive) get together in Chicago. Since we will be doing the IUI on Friday morning, then DH has to be at work, I am going to take the train down alone and check into the hotel. DH will meet at the hotel after work, and then we are off to the party at busted's place. Then Saturday will be the boat cruise. Since we are only staying till Saturday night, I think we will do dinner on our own in Chi-town and hopefully catch the late train back to Milwaukee.

It is strange to be meeting people in person for the first time when I already feel like I know them. I'm worried that I won't know people by their real names, but that they will have to wear name tags w/their screen names, blog names and/or their siggy pics:) Regardless, I am sure it will be a great time:)

Thanks for the comment on my blog.

Oh, I hate OPKS. They are evil. I bought the smiley ones a couple months ago and only peed on one once I'd gotten a positive on another brand... and that smile was BEAUTIFUL. I totally fell for it's cute little grin. I even took a picture of it. It was embarrassing, especially in the light of the cycle failing, but I enjoyed it's cuteness until the battery shut off. Keep at it, and hopefully you'll get a positive soon!

National TTTC get together? Such an amazing idea. A place where you can just be yourself and not hide the fact that we are trying or emotional. WOW. Heaven! Hope you have a fun time.
Good luck on your IUI.
