I outed myself to a few more colleagues today. One of them told me that she is part of our sisterhood, that her 22 yr old son was conceived via IUI. Then she started telling me about all of our other colleagues (I work at a really big university) who have fertility problems.
I know the statistics say that 1 in 6 couples deal with infertility, but you would never really know it b/c no one talks about it, until you bring it up. More and more people are coming out of the woodwork. I feel a strange connection to all of them, and to all of you IF ladies and nesties out there. We are one big (bigger than we should ever be) sisterhood. We have a secret language and if possible would keep anyone from joining us, as we would never wish this on anyone. I would happily give up my membership. Though even when I move on after my BFP I will never really move on. None of us will. But then again, we will all be there to help share our stories and give our support to any new members.

I always try to remember that 1 in 6 statistic when I see pregnant women on the street and feel resentful because who knows what they wen through to get pregnant.
I'm a fellow WI gal who's unfortunately a part of the sisterhood you speak of. I just wanted to swing in and say "hello" and wish you the best on your journey!
