IVF

DH had an SA on Friday...numbers are going down again and he is started to have the pain of varicocele again....this really sucks. We had a long talk this weekend and have made an appointment with the RE to talk about IVF. The appointment isn't until the 29th, so we will do an IUI this month, and probably next month too, but it looks like if that doesn't work we will be moving on to IVF w/ICSI before the winter.

I never thought we would get to this point, but after considering all of our options and what we are comfortable with at this point, it seems like the best next step for us. Since we don't have any insurance coverage, and were quoted about $12,000 for the procedure, it looks like we will be flat broke and will have to take out a home equity line.

I hope if we do IVF we get a ton of embabies and can have some for future use. But, after all of the stories I hear I am not holding my breath. I just hope we have one that can stick.

Anyone have any good fund raising ideas? :) I've always had an eye for interior design and really like feng-shui, maybe I should start advertising my skills on craigslist:)
